Meaning Behind Our Name
Agape – how do you say it and what does it mean?
Briefly, the New Testament scriptures have been translated from the Greek language. There are three different Greek words for our word love. The Greek word Agape (pronounced Ah-Gah-Pay) is used to describe the highest form of love, God’s unconditional love.
When we chose Agape as the name to describe our fellowship, it was an expression of our desire to have this same love toward one another that the Father has for His Son and for each one of us. To truly be a fellowship that represents God’s love in Christ.
